American anti-fluoride activist Dr Paul Connett, professor of chemistry and toxicology has visited Australia 5 times on the fluoride issue and has spoken in Lismore (NSW) twice.

In each of his visits he has challenged any pro-fluoridation dentist, doctor, scientist or public health official to debate him in public. Most recently Dr Michael Foley in Queensland. All have refused.

Even though many proponents of fluoridation speak with enormous confidence about the safety and effectiveness of fluoridation none (i.e. not a single one of them in the whole of Australia) of them has the guts or confidence to defend their position against Dr Paul Connett in a public debate. Why is that? The answer is simple to Dr Paul Connett. They simply don’t have the science on their side and use two techniques to obscure these facts:

1. They cite a long list of agencies that endorse fluoridation. Endorsements are not science.

2. They ridicule and denigrate opponents of fluoridation as being emotional, flat-earthers, with no science.

I would love to see a televised debate between Dr Paul Connett and any pro-fluoride proponent in Australia. Unfortunately that will never happen as the pro-fluoride witch doctors and likewise public health officials know that they will be blown to pieces.
