TITLE: Give us a choice on fluoride in our water
UPDATES: Please post all updates and comments in the LEAVE A REPLY section below.
Lower Murray Water is now putting facilities throughout Mildura for people to refill their water bottles instead of buying more bottles.
That would be fine if the water was going to be filtered for fluoride. From the point of saving the environment from disposed bottles is commendable, but what about saving people from fluoride poisoning?
Whilst Australia is still fluoridating more areas, many major Canadian and American cities and towns are removing it, and indeed New Zealand has commenced doing the same in some areas.
Now that Queensland has given local councils and people the right to choose whether or not to remove fluoride from their water, many towns have opted to do so.
If the Queensland Government can allow people a choice, why won’t our Victorian Government?
Come on Mr Crisp, start showing us you have our interest at heart and are not just toeing the party line to keep your seat.
Why fluoridate all water used, when most of it goes down your sinks, wash troughs, toilets and on the gardens?
If a person wanted to have fluoride they could choose fluoridated toothpaste or fluoride tablets whereas with total fluoridation of our water we have no choice about a something that is possibly causing us health problems, especially for people with existing kidney, diabetic, cancer and many other health problems.
Please continue to buy bottled water until we can get the flouride removed from our water.
Don’t be fooled.
