Dear Dr Young,
I note your recent comments in the Courier Mail:
“I want to be proactive because I think that the anti-fluoride lobby has got an extraordinary loud voice and can say absolute rubbish,” she said. “Fluoride in drinking water is absolutely essential for good oral health,” she said. “The evidence is irrefutable and only the extremely misinformed could think otherwise. “In medicine, there aren’t many things that are absolutely black and white. This is one of them. “It’s been around in Australia since 1964. If there were any problems, we would have seen them.”
Really? Is that so? Well then, you won’t have any trouble accepting this challenge (which your colleague, Dr Foley, refused):
Let us all see how much validity there is to your claims – indeed – your vigorous assertions. Let us see you in public debate against a scientist who holds a different view to your own. Let the public witness this debate and decide for themselves.
I challenge you to demonstrate your confidence in such a manner; and allow it to be recorded on video and uploaded to the web for the entire world to judge.
