TITLE: AFAM Announcement: Dr. Foley Refuses Debate

STATUS: No further response

UPDATES: Any updates should be posted in the comments section below

Bcc: Various lists
Dear Members,

As expected, Dr. Foley has refused any type of what he calls “sham debates” on this issue, after twice (at least) being challenged to do so. The link below will stand as a record of challenge, and will NOT be removed:

http://afamildura.wordpress.com/2013/01/12/a-public-challenge-to-dr-michael-foley-from-dr-paul-connett/

As requested, we will not contact Dr. Foley again (although we have Bcced him into this email, for the record) – not because we are in any way intimidated by him, but we now know that he is a complete waste of our time; obviously, too far gone.

However, we will continue to educate the people of Queensland, and Australia, about the scientifically and ethically disgraceful practice of water fluoridation – in utter defiance of Dr. Foley and his ilk.

In the meantime, we wish to applaud Dr. Howard Farren of Arizona in the USA, for having the type of COURAGE that Dr. Foley is so clearly lacking:

Whilst we do not agree with Dr. Farren’s views, we respect his willingness to defend his pro-fluoridation claims in open debate against Dr. Paul Connett.

Sincerely,

Dear AFAM (Anti-Fluoridation Association of Mildura),

The people of Bundaberg face serious dental health problems, and a ten year wait for a check-up at the Bundaberg Base Hospital Dental Clinic is simply unacceptable.  Some of these dental health problems can be addressed through water fluoridation, a proven and highly cost-effective public health measure widely accepted by all other Australian states and territories since the 1960s and 70s.
As was seen last Thursday night, Queensland Health, the ADA, AMA and other health professional groups are very keen to talk with councils, community groups and the general public about fluoridation and public health, but I prefer not to take part in any sham debate whose primary purpose is to promote and legitimise views detrimental to the health of Queenslanders; views repeatedly rejected by every reputable health and scientific authority in Australia.
Please do not e-mail me again.
Regards,
Michael
